He was born in Boston on March 7, 1936, the son of the late Cedric and Emma (Atchison) Porter. He grew up in Wellesley and graduated from Tabor Academy in 1954. George attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

He worked for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for 40 years, retiring in 2001. Additionally George served as a professional for the U.S. Army Reserves. He was very active in politics, both locally and nationally. He worked within Wellesley politics for decades, including serving as chairman of the Wellesley Board of Elections.

George was predeceased by love of his Patrice Gosselin; his nephew Tom Sieminski; and too many friends to list. He is survived by his brother Dr. Cedric Porter, and his wife Donna of Asheville, NC. He is also survived by his nephews, John, Ric, Rob, Rodney, and Joshua, and his niece Sarah. A Celebration of His Life has been postponed until next spring.

She lived a great married to her devoted husband, raising her loving children and grandchildren, and enjoying time with her many loyal friends. Sharon was born to Alva and James Conway in Lynn, MA.

She was one of three chil- dren with her sister Sheila Welch and brother James Conway. She graduated from Saint in Lynn, where she made many of her dearest friendships that continued into adulthood, and then she went on to earn her degree from Salem State College. Suiting her kind heart and generous nature, she became a social worker and later a teacher. Although she left those profes- sions to raise her family, she remained a natural teacher throughout her life, bestowing many lessons upon friends and family. Sharon met her husband, the late Joseph Robert Ridge on Cape Cod.

Their love spanned 50 years, centered on building a home in Norwell and creating a beautiful life with their three daughters. She dedicated as much time as she could to her girls as they grew up, coaching teams, attending sporting events, recitals and travel- ing. She was the loving mother of Jen- nifer Ridge and husband Tyler Gaylord of Darien Connecticut, Marisa Burgess and the late David Paul Burgess of Norwell, and Lauren and husband Thomas Dougherty of Hingham. Throughout her life, Sharon revealed that the most important aspect of her life was the people whom she shared it with: her husband, daughters, grand- children, family and dear friends. She loved them all fiercely, rarely missing an opportunity to spend timewith them.

She was a source of inspiration, strength and loyalty and was known for her sense of humor, quick wit, and devotion to many. She loved chatting, reading, golfing, beach trips, walking and a good belly laugh. Never one to fade into the background, her warm smile and resonating voice brought joy to those around her. Sweet and sassy until her last day, lives on in her 7 grandchildren whom she adored including: Isla, Owen, and Georgia Dougherty, Delilah and Macy Burgess, and Dexter and Willa Gaylord. She will be sorely missed.

Born in Louisville, KY to Aaron A. Shaper and Rose Friedman, she grew up in Cincinnati, OH, and later raised a family in Great Neck, NY before moving to Newton and then Dedham, MA. She earned a B.A. in Art History from Long Island University, and she attended the School of the Arts at the University of Cincinnati, and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She was an accomplished artist in multiple media, including jewelry making, silversmithing, sculpture, and medallic art, and her work is in the permanent collections of several museums.

She was a member and of many international sculpture associations, and she and her husband supported aspiring students in the sculptural arts. Ann is survived by her sons Jon and Richard, their wives (Fiona Epstein and Robin Mozell, respectively), and her granddaughter, Sarah Pollack. She was predeceased by her husband, Jason Pollack, and her brother James Shaper. A private memorial service will be held for the family. Born December 30, 1934 to Margaret (Robinson) and Frank Rizzo, she studied dance at Stanley Studio in Boston in the where she perfected her craft and developed lifelong friendships. A member of the American Guild of Variety Artists, she spent 7 years in the late early performing as a professional tap dancer and singer, appearing at night clubs and dinner theatres in Boston and along the east coast under the stage name Jini Robbins. Following that, she embarked on a long, career as a tap and jazz dance teacher and choreographer at School of Dance in Saugus.

Dancing and teaching her students of all ages was the highlight of her life and her passion. In her working life, she was a dedicated Executive Assistant at Compugraphic and Scitex Corp. In her spare time in the she founded DanceRhymes and wrote poetry and stories for a period of time. She created a poem for every occasion. Jeannie had many circles of friends, and she treasured those relationships and the memories of good times together greatly.

Her life was joyous. Mostly she on her time at Stanley studio. In her mind, there was nothing better than that. She was a member and past president of The Dance Teachers Club of Boston with the American Society and was a member of the Marblehead Little Theater. She loved showing visitors around Marblehead, especially her cousins from Scotland.

She never missed cheering on those cousins and her work colleagues who ran the Boston Marathon. She was predeceased by her brother, James; and leaves 3 nieces, 2 great-nephews, a great-niece, a great- grandnephew and niece, a sister-in- law, and many cousins.
